Swarm primary navigation and home screen

Redesigning Foursquare’s Swarm was part of its v5.0 release. I led the design to refocus the primary navigation and home screen to be more focused on you instead of your friends, while also updating some of the app’s overall visual design. I wrote a bit more in depth about this feature over on Medium as well.

Over time, the navigation for Swarm didn’t really tell the story we wanted, so this v5.0 update reflected a new, personalized experience which focused the home screen all around your own self. Swarm’s visual identity had gotten to a spot where a few of the pieces didn’t quite fit together the way we’d want them to, so I made updates to the overall visual design and created a more thorough style guide that the team could continue using going forward.
